During "Reports and Comments," Mary Berges told the Commission an ordinance will be discussed at the upcoming City Council meeting to authorize the Mayor to enter into a contract with MKSK for a conceptual plan of the Traxler Family Arboretum. Berges said the conceptual plan is needed for an April state grant application and emphasized the timeline as an urgency for completing the concept work.
Berges also reminded members the Commission newsletter is scheduled for April and requested that members attend the March meeting for a group photo to be used in the publication. She noted Arbor Day Foundation memberships will be collected in March for a single check and said the Tree City USA award ceremony will be held May 14 in Strongsville; invitations were expected shortly. The items were informational and no votes or contracts were executed during this meeting.
