Board approves outreach letter to regional aviation businesses, opts to sign under board chair

The Airport Advisory Board reviewed a draft outreach letter intended for regional aviation businesses and commercial operators. Mike Coster circulated a letter drafted by Janet VanCamp and said the intent is to inform potential aviation businesses about Ely Airports assets. Sheldon Mudd of NNRDA said the communication might carry more influence if issued by the County Commission rather than the advisory board. The board voted to refine the letter and authorized Chairman Tim Parish to sign and send it to select aviation businesses.
Commissioner Paula Carson asked that copies be provided to Commissioner Pat Robison and Sheldon Mudd. The board will finalize language and distribution targets before sending the outreach material; Tim Parish will coordinate the final sign-off.
