Lincoln County approves $4.66 million in May payroll and accounts payable

The Lincoln County Board of County Commissioners unanimously approved the May 2026 accounts payable and payroll report, totaling $4,666,042.49, during its June 23 regular meeting in Carrizozo.
Finance Director Billie-Jo Guevara told commissioners the department was completing year-end close activities, working through capital assets for audit and continuing progress on the Tyler financial system implementation. Chair Mark G. Fischer asked for details about several checks in the report; no changes were made and the motion passed on a 5–0 roll-call vote (moved by Commissioner Chavez; seconded by Commissioner Serna).
The approval came alongside acceptance of the May 12 special and May 19 regular meeting minutes. Guevara said ongoing purchase order closeouts account for significant encumbrances rolling into the new fiscal year.
