Cairo board renews MVP coverage and raises HRA contribution levels for 2026

The Town Board voted to renew its MVP Health Care employee benefits contract for calendar year 2026 and approved an employee policy amendment to increase Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA) levels. Resolution No. 2025-243 renews the MVP employee benefits contract effective Jan. 1, 2026, through Dec. 31, 2026.
To address higher 2026 plan deductibles, the board approved Resolution No. 2025-244, which increases the town’s HRA contribution from $4,650 to $4,850 for individual coverage and from $9,300 to $9,700 for family coverage. The motion was offered by Council Member Murphy and seconded by Council Member Cords; the roll call recorded three Ayes and two absences.
