The Town Board of the Town of Cairo met Dec. 17, 2025, and approved a package of resolutions authorizing 2026 service contracts and personnel changes. The board voted to renew a software support agreement with Williamson Law Book Company and approved renewals with MVP Health Care and Intelligent Technology Solutions, Inc., among others.
The board entered two resignation letters into the record: the Supervisor’s Clerk, K. Weiss, wrote, "I hereby give the Town Board notice of my resignation effective COB December 19, 2025. I am more than willing to provide any training to the new Clerk prior to my resignation." Bookkeeper/HR J. Halvorsen wrote, "My last day at Town of Cairo will be 12/24/25." The board also passed Resolution No. 2025-247 to authorize the Supervisor to designate Patricia Meigs to perform Supervisor Secretary/Human Resource duties at $20.00 per hour, not to exceed 30 hours per week, effective Dec. 9, 2025.
The package included Resolution No. 2025-242 authorizing the Supervisor to sign a Williamson Law Book Company contract effective Dec. 1, 2025, through Nov. 30, 2026, and Resolution No. 2025-251 authorizing the hiring of Evening Star Bookkeeping Service, Inc. to provide bookkeeping and payroll services with access to current employment data for import into their payroll system. All motions were carried on recorded roll calls noted in the minutes.
