Council advances multiple water and wastewater loan ordinances to second reading
Summary

Wadsworth City Council advanced a package of water and wastewater financing ordinances to second reading on March 10, covering planning, design and/or construction of several projects and designating repayment sources.
Ordinances Nos. 26-043 through 26-047 would authorize the director of public service to apply for, accept and enter into Water Supply Revolving Loan Account agreements for the Dawna Drive water line replacement, Lead Service Verification Phase II, Airport Water Looping Phase II, the New Low Side Water Tower, and the Good Avenue water line replacement. Ordinance No. 26-048 would authorize a Water Pollution Control Loan Fund agreement for smoke and dye testing in Areas 6 & 8.
Sponsors included Council Members Tom Stugmyer and Zach Berger; each ordinance was moved to second reading with unanimous support in the meeting minutes. Council did not adopt any of the loan agreements at the March 10 meeting; advancement to second reading allows staff time to finalize applications, repayment sources and project specifics for later consideration.
