Village administrator: Uptown crosswalk demolition, trash RFP posted, account plan open house Aug. 18

Village Administrator Lupton updated council on several operational items. Lupton said, “The Uptown Crosswalk, is beginning today. I think demolition starts tomorrow,” and emphasized staff is coordinating with affected business owners to keep the road open. She also told council the trash and recycling request for proposals was posted online and will remain open for several weeks.
Lupton asked council members and staff to direct public questions to the website for the RFP and encouraged turnout for an account plan open house set for Aug. 18 at 5 p.m. in Council Chambers. Lupton also thanked police for their role in National Night Out and said staff are continuing hiring efforts for village positions.
