Nye County staff say current track-design bid will be rejected, rebid expected in 4–6 months

"Budget still the same. Taking the existing bid to the Board of County Commissioners to reject. This will initiate a new bidding cycle (4 to 6 months to execute the whole process)," Martinez said. The committee did not take a formal vote on the bid at the meeting; Martinez described the next step as taking the matter to the BOCC for action.
Committee members heard that rejecting the bid would restart procurement rather than moving directly to construction, and Martinez framed the rebid timetable as a planning expectation. The committee discussed continued coordination with county staff while procurement and scheduling proceed. No dollar amounts for the design contract were provided in the meeting record.
