Committee hears deck schedule after anchor corrections; steel delivery expected after Columbus Day

The committee reviewed a $2,490 invoice from Snyder civil engineering for surveying work tied to corrective actions on the project’s grade beams. Brian Gardner said the survey followed remediation after improperly placed anchor bolts required demolition and repouring; the contractor will move to grout-in-place anchors (epoxy-threaded rods) and the city will seek reimbursement from the concrete contractor for corrective costs.
Gardner gave a construction schedule: the project is avoiding a mid-season shutdown for the tenant and is planning steel delivery "the day after Columbus Day" and an erection period of about two weeks, with a weather-dependent completion date of about Nov. 11 (Veterans Day). He warned that a tropical storm or hurricane remnants could push the schedule. The committee moved and approved the Snyder invoice by voice vote.
