Library schedules Tech Logic AMH presentation and several fall events; book sale planned

Staff scheduled a Tech Logic presentation on automated material handling (AMH) for Sept. 22 and described fall programming including model trains, a possible annual book sale, and donations from local businesses to the foundation.
Elena told the board that the library is exploring automated material handling (AMH) options and that a Tech Logic representative will visit on Sept. 22 to present and answer questions about book-sorting machines. "We do have someone coming out on September 22... a representative from one of the companies will be providing an informational presentation," she said. The vendor will meet separately in the morning and again at 5:30 p.m.
The chair also reported community events and training: an adult librarian is coordinating an all-day NTRAC model-train display on Sept. 12 and a Robert's Rules/parliamentary procedure refresher on Aug. 26 run by the Montana Local Government Center and City of Belgrade. Staff also proposed an annual book sale to be organized with the foundation and volunteers; the library has close to 1,000 books in the basement ready for sale or donation. Elena noted recent foundation donations and checks from local businesses that will be discussed at the joint foundation meeting.
