Mercer County finance staff report General Fund balance at $80,787, warn options needed

Gerber said the 2026 budgets are printed and available and that levies are "almost all inputted," with the next update from PYA expected in March. Investments staff Bev Lower reported, "The General Fund is at $80,787 balance."
The discussion noted payroll timing effects in other departments and flagged that the board will need to consider options to obtain additional funds. Staff updates included a probation report from Janet Dalton, a law enforcement financials note from Dusty Terrill that payroll is higher due to holiday pay, and two departments (Assessments/Symone Morford and Highway Dept/Matt Lower) were recorded as not present.
