Belgrade advisory board adopts library FY27 strategic framework

Elena, the library director, presented a draft strategic framework the library will use for fiscal year 2027. She said the document draws on earlier work (a 2023 feasibility study and community surveys) and sets four community-focused areas of emphasis: healthy living, cultural life, community convener and bridging the digital divide. "One of the first areas of focus was healthy living... residents learn more about the effects and benefits of living practices," she said, describing program objectives and staff training goals.
Board members praised the thoroughness and format of the framework. A motion to approve the FY27 strategic framework was made and seconded; the board voted with all in favor to adopt the framework. Staff said the framework will be posted on the library website and used to guide programming, partnerships and outreach in the coming year.
