City Engineer Glenn Davis said flow-monitoring equipment was deployed this week in the McEntee basin to gather forensic data on how recent storms affected wastewater flows. The monitoring will run for several months to determine whether the basin’s hydraulics or other factors contributed to flooding seen about a year earlier.
Davis said the data will help staff decide whether site-specific fixes or broader basin improvements are needed; he expects monitoring and data analysis to conclude in a few months and will report findings to the committee.
