The Haywood County Board of Commissioners approved a six-item consent agenda unanimously March 3. The consent package carried without modification.
During questions, a commissioner asked whether the Johnson Controls item related to the new jail or was simply equipment replacement. Bryant, responding for staff, said the purchase covers "replacement security cameras for the Justice Center" and that the cameras had reached the end of their useful life and were budgeted in the current year. The board then moved and approved the consent agenda.
