Summary

Staff reported a draft lease between Hamilton County and the Solid Waste Management District is in the meeting packet and that David Boyer prepared the draft, but staff said the board could not vote on the lease at this meeting because a 10-day public notice in the newspaper is required. "However, because of public notice requirements, you cannot vote on this lease today," the staff member said, and the vote was deferred to August.
Board members asked about the proposed annual rent and whether the lease would be retroactive; staff said the amount was "around, 245,000 total for the year" and that it is a gross (full-service) lease that includes utilities. Board members noted the proposed rate appears in line with local full-service leases. Staff invited members to submit further questions before the formal vote next month.
