Board hears timeline for FY 26/27 budget, capital requests sent to Town Council

Finance staff told the Board the FY 26/27 departmental budgets have been submitted to the Town Manager and capital funding requests are being considered by the Town Council; the Board will receive capital presentations and the Town Manager is expected to issue a requested budget before the February council workshop.
The Board of Finance received a procedural update on the FY 26/27 budget process. Finance Director Tom DiStasio said departmental budgets have been submitted to the Town Manager for review and that capital funding requests are being presented to the Town Council in November and December.
DiStasio told the board that the Board of Finance will continue to be provided with capital-request presentations and that staff plans to assemble the Town Manager’s requested budget book for distribution to the council and the Board of Finance prior to the February Town Council budget workshop. No formal votes were taken on the FY 26/27 budget at this meeting.
