Mayor outlines outreach, website redesign and animal-control plans

He said he and Council President Garry Thompson met with Sen. Patton, Rep. Dovilla and County Councilman Gallagher to open lines of communication and that he has reached out to neighboring mayors, Nicole Daley Jones (North Olmsted) and Cyril Kleem (Berea), who have signaled willingness to work with the city. Gluss said immediate projects include a website re-design, vendor meetings to obtain pricing, exploring a DORA (Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area) district, and an updated newsletter to residents.
On animal-control initiatives, Gluss said the city is addressing deer complaints and believes a local veterinarian—Sandstone Animal Hospital on Bagley Road—may help start a feral cat program: "He hopes within the next couple of months he will have something finalized."
