Sergio Negret, sworn in as the applicant's representative, explained the installation would use 0.25-inch PVC molding letters with a hunter-green acrylic outline attached with exterior adhesive rather than drilled fasteners because the landlord does not permit holes in the facade. Negret described the letters as lightweight and said the adhesive can hold approximately "5 to 8 pounds per attach." He confirmed the proposal does not include additional glass signage such as phone numbers or hours.
Board members discussed that the building's current facade is a very dark gray-brown (an older Google image showed different coloring) and noted concerns about contrast between hunter green trim and the dark background; staff and the applicant acknowledged the concern but did not condition approval on a color change. The public hearing was closed and the board approved the sign permit by voice vote, recorded in the minutes as passing 4–0.
