Staff reports multiple drainage projects near completion; county to request restoration from Platinum Properties in Saddle Creek

Hamilton County engineering staff reported progress across multiple drainage projects and said the county will pursue formal enforcement to restore an altered easement swale in the Saddle Creek/Ambleside area.
Staff said several projects are substantially complete, including Mary Wilson Oak Park Drain and J S McCarty phase 3, and reported planned subcontract clearing with Duke Energy to move poles. On Saddle Creek, staff stated they have received emails from a representative for Saddle Creek and have been working with developer Platinum Properties to regrade a swale that was altered during sanitary-sewer installation. Staff said, "I will write a letter to Platinum Properties, requesting that they restore the grade of that easement." The county noted Carmel has a local ordinance that forbids altering easement grades without approval and said it had asked Carmel to take more formal enforcement action.
Staff also described easement language negotiations with Meridian Corporate Plaza, which agreed to grant a right of entry while the county finishes easement paperwork. The board recorded no public comment on these project updates.
