Wee Ball season ends; CCI mural and pavilion drawings move forward

Parks, Recreation & Events staff told the board Wee Ball has concluded for the season and that parents will receive surveys to provide feedback. Community organization CCI proposed painting a mural on the playground wall; the city agreed to pressure-wash and prime the wall with Kilz, and to seal the mural after completion. Staff noted a couple of small wall repairs will be needed before painting.
Design drawings for a new pavilion were finished and will be submitted with the final budget for approval. No construction schedule or funding amount for the pavilion was read into the record at the meeting.
