Revenue committee to reconvene to produce May estimates before salary decision

A member said a revenue committee formed last year (including the chairman, the assessor, the treasurer and the clerk) produced estimates that were within a few thousand dollars of later certified figures, and the member is organizing the committee again. "We were able to come up with a pretty good number within just a few thousand numbers before the deadline in May," the member said.
That participant said the county uses the estimated-revenue manual provided by the Wyoming County Commissioners Association (WCCA) and that a first version of estimated revenue is already available. The chair said the group will set another meeting after the assessor’s office completes its certification and after the revenue committee provides updated estimates; no further action occurred at the session.
