Extension reports 4‑H summer participation; regional director thanks Board

Melanie Klein, 4‑H Youth Development, briefed the Board on summer programming in Traverse County. She said Isabelle Gronfeld served as this year’s Summer Coordinator and focused on increasing programming opportunities; eleven youth participated in a multi‑county Livestock Showmanship 101 Day Camp in Herman, and seven county youth attended the overnight 4‑H camp.
Cecilia Amadou, Regional Director for the University of Minnesota Extension, appeared before the Board to thank Commissioners for their partnership with the Extension program. The update was presented as an informational report and required no Board action.
