County staff schedule special meeting to advance cannabis manufacturing zoning

County Attorney Matt Franzese and Zoning Administrator Ben Oleson updated the Board on ongoing zoning work related to cannabis. Franzese said staff and the Planning Commission are drafting a Cannabis Manufacturing Ordinance and will meet for a special session on Sept. 29, 2025 to continue deliberations.
Franzese said updates to the Cannabis Retail Ordinance are forthcoming and will be shared with the Planning Commission and Board as they are finalized. No formal zoning actions or votes were taken at the Sept. 16 meeting.
