Avon Board of Finance elects Lowry chair, Salchert vice chair and Rousey secretary

At its Feb. 2 special meeting the Avon Board of Finance elected Houston Putnam Lowry as chair, Cathy Salchert as vice chair and Micah Rousey as secretary in unanimous early votes; the board also confirmed minutes from Nov. 24, 2025.
The Avon Board of Finance elected its officers for the coming year during a Feb. 2 special meeting. On a motion by Micah Rousey, seconded by Cathy Salchert, Houston Putnam Lowry was appointed chair; the minutes record the vote as Johnson, Lowry, Randall, Rousey, Salchert and Szekeres in favor (motion carried 6-0-0).
The Board then appointed Cathy Salchert as vice chair (motion by Chair Lowry, seconded by Rousey) and Micah Rousey as secretary (motion by Chair Lowry, seconded by Salchert); both votes were recorded in the minutes as carried 6-0-0. The panel also approved its Nov. 24, 2025 minutes on a motion by Kathleen Johnson; that motion carried 5-0-1, with Kathy Randall recorded as abstaining.
The elections were procedural and uncontested; the newly elected officers will preside over upcoming budget deliberations and other Board business.
