Commission approves Harvey/McPherson Community Corrections FY2026 grant applications covering $1.467 million in allocations

Sunny Milleson, director of the Harvey/McPherson County Community Corrections, presented the FY2026 Juvenile and Adult grant applications and the agency budget at the March 11 meeting. The Kansas Department of Corrections provided allocation amounts to guide the applications: Adult Programming totals $923,994.70 (including $826,319.70 general/adult probation funds and $97,675 for behavioral health), and Juvenile Programming totals $542,774.45. The combined FY26 allocation is $1,466,769.15.
Commissioner Terry Scott moved to approve the grant applications and the FY2026 budget as presented and authorized the chair to sign; Commissioner Becky Reimer seconded the motion and it passed unanimously. The commission record includes detailed line items for personnel, operations, contracts and juvenile programming in the submitted budget documents.
