Lincoln County approves public health budget extension and director's compensation

Public Health Director Ed Dzedzy asked the Board for a budget extension using infrastructure grant funding; the Commissioners approved the request and authorized a resolution (Res. 2026-15) to be signed out of session after the Chief Accountant provides fund and BARs numbers. The action was recorded as a unanimous vote.
The board also approved additional compensation for Dzedzy for May and June to train the incoming director and authorized payment in full of his accumulated sick and vacation leave without reductions upon his retirement effective June 30, 2026. Funding for the additional compensation and leave payout was stated to come from the current public health budget.
