Riverfest returns Sept. 19 with family zones, live music and late-night headliner

Events manager (S2) said Riverfest will take place Saturday, Sept. 19, 2026, and outlined key attractions: a Riverfest Classic baseball tournament (8U), Shannon Kids Zone (10AM–7PM) with $5 wristbands covering petting zoo and pony rides, a splash bash for kids, and hopes to expand vendor participation from last year’s 40+ toward 60+ food and craft vendors. "Last year, we had over 40 plus food and craft vendors. We're hoping to hit at least 60 plus this year," S2 said.
The program includes family-day programming at the San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts, competitive and exhibition performances on the Riverstage, a car show hosted by the Devoted Ones car club, and partner events with the YMCA. S2 said the day will end with a performance by Cupid; board members joked about attempting a world-record line dance but noted the Guinness record for the Cupid Shuffle is 17,000 people. Sponsors include Shannon, TruTex and Chick-fil-A.
