The Traverse County Board approved a set of routine contracts and purchases during its Nov. 4 meeting.
On a motion by Commissioner Dwight Nelson and a second by Commissioner Mark Gail, the board approved the 2026 Morris Electronics contract. The board accepted a donation of a van from Roger Schmidt for use at the Traverse Care Center and approved a lease agreement with Minnewaska for the van’s use, pending review by the County Attorney (motion by Gail; second by Schmidt).
County Coordinator Lisa Zahl notified the board of a security concern at the Extension Office; the board approved purchase of an inside and outside camera for $139.99 and a one-year subscription for $99.00 (motion by Gail; second by Nelson). The board also approved the regular claims and bills listed in the voucher, with the minutes noting 24 claims under $2,000 that totaled $7,949.33.
