Neighbors said they worry rezoning might be used to smooth the path for later uses such as a solar project and sought clear plans and public review of any future applications; one neighbor noted that if a solar farm is proposed, site-specific plans and certificates of appropriateness would be required because of historic protections. The board discussed these points, concluded the rezoning corrects a mismatch with land-use records and approved the request on a voice vote.
