Board approves special exception allowing manufactured home for Greens with conditions

The Nottoway County Board of Supervisors voted unanimously July 17 to grant a special exception permitting Sylvester and Mildred Green to remove the existing residence on tax parcel 31-86/31-87 and place a manufactured (double-wide) home on the site.
Planning staff introduced the request and recommended approval contingent on conditions, including addressing four inoperable vehicles on-site and obtaining required health-department septic permits before occupancy. "There'll be no occupancy permit until those vehicles...is dealt with," staff told the board. The Planning Commission had approved the application previously.
No members of the public spoke in opposition. The motion to allow removal of the existing house and placement of a manufactured home carried 5–0.
