Butler County renews Pine Technologies support contract for court-management system at $40,000

IT Director Lew Harter recommended renewing the county’s support contract with Pine Technologies for the cloud-hosted Pine CMS (the successor to Justware and Docksushare). Harter told the board Pine Technologies has supported Justware since 2020 and the combined cloud product consolidates the two previous components. The one-year renewal totals $40,000; staff proposed charging $26,000 to IT contractuals and $14,000 to the County Attorney diversion fund. The commission approved the renewal and authorized staff to sign purchase documents (motion carried 5-0).
Harter said the vendor has been a ‘‘valuable partner’’ in maintaining the county attorney office’s case-management tools and that the cloud migration combined previously separate invoices into a single $40,000 annual charge.
