Francine Aarona was re-elected chair of the County of Maui Commission on Persons with Disabilities for the 2026–2027 term after a unanimous vote on April 9, 2026 (6–0, 3 absent).
Commissioner Linda Puppolo nominated Aarona and Commissioner Crystal Thomas moved the election; Commissioner Victor Lesa seconded. There were no other nominations for chair. The commission also considered a nomination for vice chair — which Commissioner Victor Lesa declined — and deferred that selection to the May meeting. The Commission voted unanimously to approve the March 12, 2026 meeting minutes earlier in the session (6–0, 3 absent).
