The Butler County Board of Commissioners approved a Notice of Intent to exceed the revenue neutral rate (RNR) and set a public hearing on the proposed 2027 budget for Aug. 25 at 6 p.m. Finance Director Ryan Adkison outlined the county’s budget calendar and noted staff had reduced several fire district budgets before the meeting.

The board also approved a parallel Notice of Intent and hearing date for the county’s fire and sewer districts (motion carried 5-0).
