During the July 27 consent agenda, council approved several procurement and equipment items:
• Ordinance 59-26 authorizes a five-year Meraki network licensing agreement with Logicalis for co-terminus licenses covering firewalls, switches, wireless access points and security cameras at a total cost not to exceed $150,000. City staff advised a five-year term would save about $10,000 per year compared with annual renewals and avoid device downtime after the September 7, 2026 expiration.
• Ordinance 48-26 authorizes replacement of a transfer-station refuse-side compactor with a turnkey proposal (base $310,000 plus $2,100 for wear-plate improvements and optional hydraulic hook equipment) and pit rehabilitation work; total contract authorization not to exceed $333,635 with an estimated 22-week fabrication timeline and a required completion date of Feb. 28, 2027.
• Ordinance 49-26 authorizes emergency storm and sanitary sewer repairs with Fabrizi Trucking & Paving, not to exceed $150,000; the City publicly bid the work and received one responsive bid.
• Ordinance 52-26 authorizes purchase of two 2026 Ford Explorer Utility Interceptors for the Police Division at a cost not to exceed $139,622 (one vehicle replaces an older unit; insurance proceeds of $50,000 will offset replacement costs for a crashed vehicle).
