The Dewey Public Schools Board of Education voted unanimously to provide a one-time retention incentive payment of $2,000 to all certified personnel employed during the 2024–25 school year who are employed on Aug. 30, 2025 and hold a written contract with Dewey Public Schools for the 2025–26 school year. The board recorded that part-time certified employees will receive a pro rata incentive payment.
The motion was made by David Cleveland and seconded by Amy LaSpisa. The motion language in the minutes states: "Approve a one time Retention Incentive payment of $2,000 for all certified personnel employed for the 2024–25 school year who are employed on August 30, 2025 pursuant to a written contract with the Dewey Public Schools for the 2025-26 school year." The vote was unanimous among the five members present.
