On Oct. 7 the Board approved the claims and bills presented by County Coordinator Lisa Zahl. Per Minn. Stat. §375.12 the county reported 60 claims under $2,000 that totaled $20,991.14; larger vendor payments listed in the register were approved as presented.
Zahl also reported retiree Sr. Gold and MC Rx renewal rates rose 5.7%; the Board approved the renewal on a motion by Mark Gail, seconded by Chad Metz. Commissioners discussed and adopted a change to the rules for use of the Commissioners' Room, limiting after-hours access to groups that represent Traverse County and removing a $15 fee previously charged to non-county individuals. The Board briefly closed the meeting to discuss labor negotiation strategy under Minn. Stat. §13D.03 and then reopened the meeting.
