County to pursue LRIP grant for Browns Valley road projects; motor grader decision deferred

Highway County Engineer Chad Gillespie told the Board on Oct. 7 that he will apply for the Local Road Improvement Program (LRIP) grant to fund two projects in the Browns Valley area listed on the county’s five-year plan for 2028: MCSAH 4 South and MCSAH 106.
Gillespie also told commissioners a decision about replacing or purchasing a motor grader will be needed at the next meeting. The projects and the LRIP application will inform budget and equipment priorities for the highway department.
