Council approved a set of IT contract extensions and scope documents to maintain continuity while competitive procurement is underway.
City Administrator outlined a one'year ClientFirst amendment totaling $254,500 to continue work as the city's contracted IT director, support a website RFP, conduct incident response and disaster recovery tabletop exercises, assist with pool camera procurements and develop initial controls for AI use. The council approved the extension unanimously.
Separately, staff recommended a six'month extension with Computer Courage (about $197,780) to continue day'to'day embedded IT support while an RFP process concludes; staff clarified ClientFirst provides policy and master'plan work while Computer Courage provides boots'on'the'ground operational support.
"If we were to identify ClientFirst's role as providing policy framework ... Computer Courage on the other hand is staffing our operations with one full time person that is embedded in our organization," staff explained. Council approved the extensions and the associated funding adjustments as presented.
