Prosecutor urges county to fund cloud evidence storage as video and phone evidence grow

Technical Services said they estimated on‑site storage solutions would cost tens of thousands of dollars per department and would require backup and future upgrades, whereas the Axon subscription is structured as a 10‑year agreement with scalability. Prosecutor office leaders told council they are out of contract for the free service extension and will need a funded plan this year to avoid an immediate storage crisis; councilors asked for cost breakdowns and longer‑term projections.
