Votes and actions: council approves minutes, supports one setback variance and authorizes Lumos franchise signature

At its Sept. 8 meeting the Anchorage City Council unanimously approved August minutes, backed a front-setback reduction for 11606 Hazelwood Road, authorized the mayor to sign a Lumos Fiber franchise resolution, and adjourned; no action was taken on a rear setback or Logsdon driveway addition.
At the Sept. 8 Anchorage City Council meeting, members recorded several formal motions and outcomes.
Patrick McMahon moved to approve the Aug. 11, 2025 meeting minutes; Matt Delehanty seconded and the motion passed unanimously. Diane Cook moved and Karin Tyrer seconded a motion supporting a front-setback variance that would reduce a required 75-foot front setback to 60 feet for 11606 Hazelwood Road; that motion passed unanimously. Cook also moved a resolution authorizing Mayor Neil Ramsey to sign the Lumos Fiber of Kentucky, LLC franchise agreement; Matt Delehanty seconded and it passed unanimously. No motions to support Don Graham's rear setback reduction or to approve the Logsdon driveway expansion were adopted; Mayor Ramsey instead requested engineered mitigation plans from Logsdon for consideration in October.
The meeting adjourned at 7:19 p.m. following a unanimous motion to adjourn by Patrick McMahon, seconded by Karin Tyrer.
