Forestry Board reports fewer hazardous trees and reminds residents canopy tree orders due Sept. 18

Forestry Board Chair Jan Ruzich told the council the board had completed its hazardous-tree inventory and turned the list over to the City Forester and the Public Works Director for review.
"The Board completed the hazardous tree inventory and found fewer hazardous trees than previous years," Ruzich said, and noted two residents had placed orders for fall canopy trees. Ruzich reminded residents that the canopy campaign order deadline is Sept. 18 and that two orders have been submitted to date.
Council asked how order forms were distributed; staff said the form was available as a downloadable in the city e-newsletter. The Public Works Department will review the hazardous-tree list and follow up as appropriate.
