The Hampton City Council on June 23 approved a lot split for a property at 10307 Volkswagon Drive. City Clerk Mary Lou Hildreth told the council that Andy Thomas requested to split an approximately three-acre parcel so a roughly half-acre portion can be transferred to a family member; she said she would provide a letter to the property appraiser if the split was approved.
Chair Bill Goodge moved to approve the lot split and Councilwoman Dot Shealey seconded. The council vote was recorded as 4–0 in favor. Hildreth did not provide further details about parcel configuration or subsequent permitting steps at the meeting.
