Treasurer Karen Delap told the Vernon County Finance Committee on Nov. 7 that sales tax revenue rose significantly in the previous month, a positive sign for short-term county receipts.
Administrative Coordinator Cassandra Hanan reviewed the budget-versus-actual report and said there were no troubling variances overall, but that Vernon Manor had a year-to-date loss of more than $1,000,000. Hanan also noted IT expenses are higher than typical because central printing costs have not yet been charged to individual departments.
