Lighting variance for Cold Spring Road garden deferred after neighbors raise uplighting concerns

Photos in the record showed exterior lighting along Cold Spring Road that Barz said was a mistake and would be turned off.
Neighbors Michael Simon and resident Ann Ross objected to excessive uplighting. With no motion to grant a variance, Councilmember Diane Cook suggested the applicants work with neighbors to propose a sample lighting plan and return to the City Council with a formal variance request. Until a variance is approved, ground lighting in the setback is permitted only at specified pedestrian entrances per the minutes.
