The Piedmont Education Foundation presented its 2026-27 grant-distribution plan to the Piedmont Unified School District board, saying the bulk of the base grant will pay educator salaries and support district priorities. The presenter said the PEF board approved a distribution plan at its May meeting and "anticipate be able to grant at least $3,900,000" once giving-campaign pledges are finalized.
PEF told the board that 90% of the base grant is earmarked for educator salaries, with 3% each for counselors and for training and supplies, 2% for health and wellness, and the remainder for curriculum development and athletics. The foundation also described a separate $25,000 professional-development grant requested for former elementary teacher Pamela Rapinelli and roughly $300,000 in projected proceeds from Spring Fling and the Harvest Festival to fund programming and transportation for Beach Havens and Wildwood schools.
