City Manager Kelly Bush explained two TRCC grant applications submitted earlier: one for the Webster Center and one for pickleball courts. She said County staff advised TRCC awards are restrictive and cannot be substantially amended after approval. Because the Webster Center grant encountered complications, staff recommended withdrawing it; the pickleball grant remained viable but must be implemented exactly as proposed.
Bush recommended accepting the interlocal agreement to build courts at Magna Neighborhood Park rather than Copper Park; Council approved Resolution R2026-34 unanimously, 5-0. The Council also directed staff to pursue cost estimates for additional courts at Copper Park separately.
