Accounting Manager Daniel Hoffman presented the FY2026-2027 budget, which begins July 1 and ends June 30, and said it remained unchanged from the tentative budget previously approved. He summarized projected revenues of roughly $16.3 million, identified sales tax as the City's primary revenue source, and reviewed departmental expenditures and special fund budgets (CRA, Community Council Fund, Pleasant Green Cemetery Fund).
Council members asked clarifying questions about wage lines, retirement contribution accounting (retirement costs captured in consolidated employee benefits), ARPA fund usage, membership and subscription expenditures, and specific capital projects administered through the MSD capital projects budget. After closing the public hearing Council Member Jensen moved and Council Member Prokopis seconded approval of Ordinance 2026-O-10; the motion passed unanimously, 5-0.
