Starley said the Neighborhood Park site lacks restrooms, curb-cut access and parking improvements and therefore recommended moving the TRCC pickleball project to Copper Park, where existing facilities would better support use. He discussed resurfacing, fencing and court configuration options and asked council members for formal bids before making a final decision.
Council members generally favored forming a small working group to shepherd public and council input on the Copper Park Master Plan, with the possibility of converting the group into a permanent advisory committee once ordinance language is finalized. Mayor Sudbury volunteered to participate and staff said they would return with bid information and refined plans.
