The Redmond School District Board on Nov. 19 approved revisions to Policy CBG (Superintendent Evaluation) by a 4-1 vote. During discussion, Director Keri Lopez clarified how the amended evaluation standard will be applied: “The evaluation will be based on the Ends, the superintendent’s contract, any applicable standards of performance, Board policy in attaining any goals for the year established by the superintendent/or the Board, and findings of all the executive limitation monitoring reports received in the interim since the last formal evaluation.” Lopez later rescinded an earlier motion; the board then approved the presented revisions with Lopez voting no.
Director Lopez’s remark was entered into the record as clarification of the evaluation criteria. The transcript does not record further amendments to the policy language beyond the board’s approval; the motion to approve revisions was moved by the Vice Chair and seconded by Director Proctor.
