The Governing Board approved routine consent-agenda items including the May 28, 2026 minutes and payroll orders for May 2026 totaling $14,446,155.26, ratified payment and purchase order reports, accepted Gift Donations and ratified bid awards for Butterfield projects and structured cabling change orders. The consent agenda motion, moved by Felipe Martinez and seconded by Tom Velasquez, carried with all seven trustees voting aye.
Separately, the board approved a Certificate of Completion of Staff Development Waiver for Yanet Ledesma, effective May 1, 2026 (moved by Pete Lara Jr., seconded by Rudy Ruiz; unanimous), and approved an Administrative Services Credential Waiver for Saul Anguiano, effective May 14, 2026 (moved by Felipe Martinez, seconded by Pete Lara Jr.; vote recorded 6–1 with Mr. Velasquez voting No). The board also adopted Resolution No. 30-26 designating short-term positions not requiring certification under Education Code Section 45103 and approved the July 2026 meetings schedule, canceling July 9 and retaining July 23.
